Bio

Jonathan Polasek is an adventure and thriller writer living with his family in New Mexico.

He studied Commercial Art in Pensacola, Florida, but later realized his true passion was for spinning a yarn. Living in a border state and familial ties to both Europe and Asia has given him an international sensibility that comes through in his writing.

Influences

A lifelong lover of books and storytelling, he grew up reading a broad range of authors from Paul Hutchens, John Bunyan, Franklin W. Dixon and Robert Arthur to Stephen Bly, C.S. Lewis and Gordon Korman. He first tried his hand at writing and illustrating a book in elementary school. As he grew older he added the likes of Robert Heinlein, J.R.R. Tolkien, Louis L'Amour, and Robert Ludlum to his list of favorites. He enjoys commercial, popular fiction.

Other Focuses

When he’s not writing, he occasionally dabbles in public speaking, songwriting and music. A self-avowed foodie, he has a penchant for great tasting fusion fare,  and just about anything that has to do with bacon.
